Professor Bing Xue now worked in the Institute of Applied Ecology, CAS as the leader of industrial ecology and man-land relationship research team. Meanwhile, he is also the Director of Key Laboratory of Environmental Computing and Sustainable Development, Liaoning province. In 2009, he obtained his doctorate in Economic Geography from Lanzhou University. He mainly engaged in research on coupling mechanism and process of regional man-land systems, sustainable development, smart city and decision support from enormous data. He has presided more than 30 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and attained several achievements including more than 170 articles (54 articles included in SSCI/SCI), 24 software copyrights and 5 patents.Thus, he has won several funds and awards including the German Humboldt foundation (Humboldt scholars), Huijun Qin-Zhengdao Li Research Trainee Fund (Jun-Zheng scholars), Young Scientists "Green Elite" Award from German Federal Government Teaching and Research Department and the 11th Youth Science and Technology Award in Liaoning Province. Moreover, he was admitted into Millions of Talents Project in Liaoning Province, Youth Innovation Leading Talents in Shenyang City and Youth Innovation Promotion Association of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
