Lecturer profile
Professor John D. Marshall is a well-known tree Physiological ecologist and honorary retired professor at the University of Idaho in the United States, with being currently a visiting professor at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Sweden. His main research interests include carbon stable isotopes of trees, changes in leaves of the canopy, and forest responses to climate change and rising carbon dioxide concentrations. His work has greatly expanded the application of plant stable isotopes in tree physiology research. He has also established and managed the Idaho stable isotope laboratory. The number of published SCI articles exceeds 120, and the H factor is 50 (50 articles have been cited more than 50 times). The number of citations of his articles has reached 7,500. He has published research results on many top journals such asforestry, plant physiology, andecology.
