At the invitation of Professor An Chengbang and Professor Dong Guanghui from the Key Laboratory of Western China’s Environmental Systems (Ministry of Education), College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, Yu Jianjun, a Research Fellow from Xinjiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, came to our university for a visit, and made an academic report. Lecturer profile

Yu Jianjun is a Research Fellow of the Xinjiang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. In July 1995, he graduated from Northwest University majoring in archaeology. He has been engaged in archaeological research and cultural relic protection in Xinjiang for a long time. He has presided over the archaeological excavation work of Dongtalede cemetery in Haba River County, Tuganbai No.2 cemetery, Kalasu Cemetery, Hailiutan cemetery in Buerjin County, Tuva New Village cemetery, Jimunai Tongtian Cave Site, etc. He has edited a number of works, including Investigation Report of Xinjiang Rock Paintings and Anthology of Archaeology and History in Altay Region of Xinjiang, and published more than 40 articles of various kinds.

Tongtian Cave site was selected into the Archaeology Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2017. New Archaeological Discoveries in China in 2017 (Six Major Discoveries) and "Top ten New Archaeological Discoveries in China in 2017".
