Gao Yun, researcher, Ph.D. in climatology, is currently the vice president of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. She has long been engaged in research on climate change response policies and global climate governance. She used to be the deputy director of the Science and Technology and Climate Change Department of the China Meteorological Administration. She was responsible for leading the organization of the Chinese author recommendation, government review and final negotiation of the work reports and comprehensive reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). As a representative of the Chinese government, She participated in the IPCC system construction and process reform. Since 2002, as a member of the core negotiating team of the Chinese government delegation, She has participated in the previous conferences and negotiation meetings of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and is responsible for issues related to climate change science, long-term goals and common vision, and capacity building.
