Expert Profile:
Wang Xuejia, professor and master's supervisor at Lanzhou University. He is mainly engaged in research on climate change and simulation, as well as the interaction between the cryosphere and climate. He obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012 and 2015 respectively. Afterward, he worked at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From December 2018 to January 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, under the supervision of the internationally renowned climatologist, Academician Chen Deliang. He has been a professor at the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, since January 2022.
Lecture Description:
In this lecture, Professor Wang Xuejia will share his experiences of studying, conducting research, and living in Sweden for two years. The process of participating in topic discussions, interacting with mentors and research groups, and completing academic papers during his postdoctoral research in Sweden significantly differed from the practices in China. The aim is to inspire the audience to view life, study, and research from different perspectives, broaden their horizons, break personal boundaries, and enhance their individual capabilities.
