Title: Deep Lithospheric Structure of the Pamir-Tibet Plateau Revealed by Seismic Waves
Moderator: Professor Wang Xin, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University
Time: Thursday, July 4, 2024, 17:00-18:00
Venue: Room 519, Qilian Hall, Chengguan Campus, Lanzhou University
Expert Profile:
Dr. Murodov Davlatkhudzha is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, a researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, and Vice Chairman of the Central Asian Geosciences Forum. He has utilized seismic wave receiver functions to obtain critical seismological evidence from the Qilian Mountains in the northern Tibetan Plateau and the Pamir Plateau and its surrounding areas. His work has elucidated the differences in the lithospheric structure and deepened the understanding of the plateau's uplift history and dynamic mechanisms. He has published six SCI papers in international journals such as Tectonophysics and Geophysical Journal International. He has also led one "the Belt and Road Initiatives" international scientific joint research project and one intergovernmental international scientific and technological innovation cooperation project under the National Key R&D Program.
