On October 29, 2022, at the invitation of Professor Mou Cuicui and Associate Professor Lu Xia from the College of Earth and Environmental Science of Lanzhou University, Yin Runsheng, a researcher at the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, taught the course "Global Cycle of Persistent Poisons" to the 2022 doctoral students majoring in resources and environment of our institute. The theme of the course was: Mercury Isotope Perspectives on the Global Mercury Cycle.
The report includes the application history and geochemical characteristics of mercury, the isotope geochemical overview and analysis methods of mercury, the biogeochemical cycle of mercury, and the deep mercury cycle. At the end of the class, researcher Yin Runsheng answered the questions raised by the students one by one, and the students benefited a lot from this class.
