On March 30, the first lecture of " Resource and Environment · Chinese and Foreign Lecturers" held by the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University was delivered in B105 of Qinling Hall. Wang Xiuxi, associate professor of the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, gave the first lecture titled "Introduction to the China-Italy "3+1+1" Project and Enlightenment for Undergraduates to Study Abroad".
In this lecture, Associate Professor Wang Xiuxi first shared his experience of studying abroad at the University of Bologna in Italy based on his experience of studying abroad, learning and harvesting, and described in detail the significance and opportunities of international cooperation in running schools and the internationalization of undergraduate education. Taking the "3+1+1" project of the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, and the School of Earth Sciences of the University of Padua in Italy as an example, the students were introduced in detail about the preparations for studying abroad and the feedback from the students participating in the project. He encouraged undergraduates to break through the information silkworm room, actively prepare to study abroad, broaden their horizons, improve their innovation ability, and become top-notch innovative talents in basic disciplines.
After the lecture, the students had an active exchange and discussion with the teacher on the experience of studying abroad in Italy.
This lecture helped students learn more about the "3+1+1" project of the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University and the School of Earth Sciences of the University of Padua in Italy, as well as the precautions for studying abroad, so that students can feel the cooperation and exchange between China and foreign countries, and greatly encouraged the confidence of the students to study abroad.
