Expert Profile:
Dr. Tim Rademacher completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in botany and physical geography at the University of Cambridge and conducted his postdoctoral research at Harvard University. He conducted research at the Harvard Forest and is currently an associate professor at the University of Quebec at Outaouais (UQO) and a researcher at the Centre ACER in Canada. His research interests lie in ecosystem physiological ecology, aiming to enhance the understanding of terrestrial ecosystems by studying how individual plants and plant communities function. His current research focuses on tree physiological ecology, particularly maple trees, investigating the relationship between wood growth, tree phloem transport, and carbon carbohydrate dynamics. Additionally, he is concerned with sustainable agriculture and scientific engagement. He has published 30 papers in internationally recognized journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications, New Phytologist, and Plant Cell & Environment. He also developed "Tree Witness," an automated scientific communication tool that tells the life story of a tree through social media posts.
