Expert Profile:
Associate Professor Dai Hancheng is a tenured faculty member in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Peking University. He also serves as a researcher, doctoral supervisor, and director of the Department of Environmental Management. He is a recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientist Fund. His research focuses on the assessment and comprehensive decision-making of environmental and climate policies. He led the independent development of the Integrated Model for Energy-Environment-Economy Analysis (IMED) for analyzing climate and environmental policies. He has led nearly twenty national and provincial research projects. He has authored or co-authored over 50 papers in prominent SCI journals such as Nature Food and One Earth, with more than 7,400 citations on Web of Science, an H-index of 38, and 16 ESI highly cited papers. He has been consistently listed in the top 2% of highly cited scientists globally from 2020 to 2022. He serves as a contributing author for IPCC AR6 and lead author for UNEP GEO-7.
