Expert Profile:
Researcher Yan Qing, a scientist at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializes in paleoclimate simulation, focusing on the evolution of tropical cyclones over multiple timescales in geological periods. She actively explores the mechanisms behind the changes in the westerlies-monsoon system and glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau during the late Quaternary. As the first/corresponding author, she has published nearly 40 SCI papers in top-tier journals such as National Science Review (1), PNAS (2), Nature Communications (1), GRL (5), and EPSL (1). She has been honored with the "Liu Dongsheng Outstanding Youth Award" and the "Xie Yibing Youth Meteorological Science and Technology Award" and has led/participated in projects such as the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scientists and Innovative Research Groups.
