Dr. Zhang Jun, a postdoctoral fellow at Lanzhou University's Cuiying Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, specializes in palynology, environmental change, and human activities. His research primarily focuses on climate and environmental changes, as well as human-land relationships in arid and semi-arid regions during the Holocene. He completed his Ph.D. in December 2021 in Physical Geography at the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, and has been a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Grassland Agriculture and Technology since January 2022. Currently, he is leading one project each from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Central Universities' Postdoctoral Innovation Fund, and the Key Laboratory of Western Environmental Education at Lanzhou University. He has published over 20 academic papers, with 7 as the first/corresponding author in journals such as Geophysical Research Letters, Quaternary Science Reviews, Catena, Land Degradation & Development, and others.
