Expert Profile:
Researcher Tian Lide is a researcher and Ph.D. supervisor at the Institute of International Rivers and Eco-Security, Yunnan University. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and a high-level talent introduced by Yunnan University. For many years, he has been engaged in research on the stable isotopes of precipitation and their climatic significance in monsoon regions, modern processes of ice core records, and glacier changes. He has conducted multiple scientific expeditions and ice core drilling in high-altitude glacier areas of the Tibetan Plateau. Dr. Tian has made significant research progress in the study of precipitation isotopes and atmospheric circulation processes in the Asian monsoon region, the climatic significance and mechanisms of stable isotopes in ice cores, and the application of new technologies in ice core dating on the Tibetan Plateau. He has led and participated in over 17 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects, Distinguished Young Scholars projects, global change projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, innovative direction projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tibetan Plateau special projects.
He has published over 260 academic papers, including more than 150 SCI papers. Dr. Tian has received the second prize of the National Natural Science Award (third place), the first prize of the Provincial and Ministerial Natural Science Award (fourth place), a special government allowance from the State Council, and has been selected for the National "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project."
