Professor Hassan Fazeli Nashli is the Head of the Department of Archaeology and a Professor of Archaeology at the University of Tehran. He also serves as the Vice-President of the International PlateauPlus Association and is a distinguished member of the Association for Trans-Eurasia Exchange and Silk-Road Civilization Development (ATES). From 2005 to 2009, he was the Director of the Iranian Centre for Archaeological Research and is a Corresponding Fellow of the German Archaeological Institute. Since 1996, Professor Fazeli Nashli has led numerous international joint research projects and fieldwork initiatives, collaborating with colleagues and universities from the USA, Germany, UK, Italy, Canada, Poland, and China. He has conducted over 25 years of fieldwork in the central plateau and northern regions of Iran, leading 20 archaeological excavation projects focused on socio-economic transformations from the late Epipalaeolithic to the Iron Age. He has published four monographs and over 50 papers.
