Expert Profile:

Li Xingyuan is an Associate Professor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, and the Director of the Health Geoscience and Dual Carbon Technology Research Center. He holds a joint doctoral degree from a two-year collaborative program between China and Canada and completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Regina, Canada. His primary research focuses on elemental geochemistry and soil carbon sequestration. Over the past five years, he has published 17 papers in SCI journals such as Science Advances, Ore Geology Reviews, and Environmental Research, with 12 as the first author and 5 as corresponding or co-author. He has been the principal investigator of projects funded by the National Natural Science Youth Foundation, Guangdong Science and Technology General Project, and the "Double First-Class" Talent Introduction Program, managing a cumulative fund of over 4.5 million yuan in the past three years. He also serves as a communication reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation, a member of the China Big Data and Mathematical Geosciences Committee, and a permanent member of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG). Additionally, he is a youth editorial board member for Geological Bulletin of China and China Measurement & Testing, and a provincial expert for the third national soil census.
