Title: Analysis and Exploration of Technological Demands for Soil Pollution Prevention and Control

Expert Profile:

Liu Xiaowen is the Deputy Director of the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and a Senior Engineer. He serves as a member of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He is also a member and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Expert Committee on Soil Ecological Environment Protection, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Ecological Environmental Restoration Professional Committee of the Environmental Science Society, and an expert in the overall expert group of the National Key Technology Research and Development Program for Comprehensive Environmental Governance in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, among other positions. Previously, he served as the Deputy Director of the National Soil Pollution Survey Office and the head of the Technical Guidance Group for the National "14th Five-Year Plan for Soil and Rural Ecological Environment Protection," organizing key national technical work. As a project leader, he has completed several research projects, including national R&D initiatives. He has led major remediation projects, such as the pollution prevention and control of electronic waste dismantling in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province, and the comprehensive prevention and control of abandoned mines in Baihe County, Shaanxi Province. Liu has received nine awards, including the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He holds 15 domestic invention patents and 2 international invention patents. He has published 103 papers in the field of soil pollution prevention and control and authored five monographs.
